Conferencing Installation

Vidcom was approached by Cilo Architects to supply and install video conference solutions for a shared VC room and main boardroom in the newly built Te Matatini office space in central Wellington.

Following an initial site visit, we designed a solution based on our Yealink Teams/Zoom Rooms packages. As Te Matatini did not have an IT specialist to select the platform, the solution was designed to be upgradable to accommodate their evolving needs.


    Challenge

    The installation faced a tight timeframe, with the date frequently rescheduled before being finalised. During this period, equipment costs escalated significantly and issues were compounded by major supply chain disruptions. Additionally, coordinating with multiple contractors during the installation added to the complexity of the project.

    Solution

    In the main boardroom, we used a Yealink A30-025 Teams Room Meeting Bar solution, with a CTP18 tabletop touch control panel, a WPP30 wireless sharing dongle, and an added wireless table mic for better coverage. In the CEO’s office and the Shared Video Conference room, we used a Yealink A20-025 teams Room Meeting bar solution, with a CTP18 tabletop touch control panel, and a WPP30 wireless sharing dongle. These systems are highly user-friendly and offer amazing AI capabilities.

    Outcome

    Nathan, Te Matatini’s IT Manager, has expressed high praise for the seamless implementation and user-friendly nature of the Yealink devices. Although a brief training period was required, the team is extremely satisfied with the solution provided and the ongoing support Vidcom offer. We take great pride in the success of this project and look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with Te Matatini again in the near future.
